This isn't a direct answer to your question, but more of a comment on the way psych drugs are marketed. The waiting room of the clinic where I see my pdoc is full of advertising for Pristiq, including the package insert listing effects and side effects. In terms of its action and side effects it is almost exactly like Cymbalta, which is what I take. Pristiq certainly has a bigger advertising budget than Cymbalta. Both are SNRIs, but are chemically quite different, I think. Anyway, I'm happy with Cymbalta, which has been working for me, especially with low-dose Ritalin.
