High heart rate from meds or something else?

Posted by Deneb on June 7, 2010, at 19:27:43

I've been tracking my blood pressue and pulse rate on those BP machines in the pharmacy.

My BP is very good, it's about 110/67, but my heart rate seems a little high. It's not unusual for my heart rate to be in the 90's. Even just walking a bit sends my heart rate high. I noticed that when I exercise my heart rate is almost always really high compared to other people doing the same thing.

It is very rare for me to report a heart rate that is in the 60's. Usually it is in the high 70's.

I read having a high heart rate predicts heart disease in the future.

Can Celexa, Prozac or Risperdal cause high heart rate?

Somehow I don't think it is the meds. I think it's me. Should I be concerned?

Taking propranolol would help my high heart rate though right?
