Alchemy,
> Thanks Ron. I am pretty familiar with the insulin & The Zone. And I always eat protein with everything- I hate eggs but they are my morning ritual. I can't find anything on the web that says your blood sugar goes down immediately after eating. (about 20 min)
It's called Reactive Hypoglycemia (also known as postprandial hypoglycemia, or alimentary hypoglycemia):
<Start Quote>
Reactive hypoglycemia occurs within four hours after eating if glucose levels rise too rapidly after a meal because of underlying conditions, such as the increased absorption of glucose from the small intestine. In response, the body overexcretes insulin, which drives the glucose from the blood, and hypoglycemia results.

I have reactive hypoglycemia. If I eat a normal sized bowl of Shredded Wheat (100% whole wheat, no sugar) with non-fat milk, my blood sugar drops within about 20 - 30 minutes and I fall dead asleep in my recliner chair. I wake up about 45 or 60 minutes later.
