Hi poser,
> i think a small dose of selegiline would feel different. like i said,in a small dose it focuses more on raising dopamine levels. in higher doses it also raises serotonin, like a dose you would get from emsam. now serotonin is calming or emotional numbing depending on the type of person you are. but i saw in a different
post that you said the dose you were taking helped with cognition and add type symptoms, so maybe you did get dopamine raised well enough. im just sayin, its something you could try with a low dose of selegiline. Thanks for explaining this. I finally understand about the segeline, at least basically enough to discuss with a provider. Taken orally it might not circulate and build up like the patch (in
addition to being a lower dose)? Because
the insomnia became so big. I can sleep with ambien now. I like that.Did your mom have patch sleep issues on her patch?

> with me right now, im not feeling any better so far. i think im going to start
cyproheptadine again once my tolerance goes away, which is soon, hopefully! its
not even a med used for emotional
problems and its the only thing to ever
help me, im just lucky i found out about it.
How did you find this medication? I remember you and others here discussing it a while back. This sounds
like you have decided to discontinue the risperdal. Well poop about that, and glad
you have something to go to. If you drop risperdal, you'll follow a taper? I wish I knew more about medication to offer you some advice. Hang in there
poser. You're smart and brave :-) Your pdoc is still on board with you? Do you ever post on the neuro board here?Hang in there :-/
Keep us posted..
