The original poster said Klonopin was one of the drugs on their current med list. I took it for a while for a different reason and I understand it is being used for treatment of opiod addiction. However, this drug can cause terrible sleepiness and fatigue. When I almost ran my car into a tractor trailer at 60 mph with my two kids in the back seat, I realized this drug was not worth the risks. Yes it was helping the original problem, but it was causing more side effects than the original problem and putting us at risk. And for the record, this near accident was the first time I had felt impaired or I wouldn't have been driving, especially with my children in the car. My doctor had said to wait a couple of weeks to see how it effected me and then decide if I felt safe enough to drive. Up until that day, I had felt up to driving and had not had any episodes of sleepiness behind the wheel nor any difficulty, but the drug does build up in your system and can cause fatigue and sleepiness that sneaks up on you. Therefore, in your search to find something to help your fatigue, I would start with this medication and perhaps ask your doctor if you can be put on something else to see if it helps your fatigue. Just sharing my experience in hopes it will help you.
