The Wolfson book talks about the whole journey to wellness. It stresses individualizing medical and other care. Heck, the family even got a psychiatric service dog which was not needed after some years. The website suggests some other books such as for healing the gut and addressing other issues. Look for books under Treatment, Testing, and Stories in the Suggested Books tab for some ideas. I really liked the James Greenblatt book. A lot of people talk about the Bock and Stauth book but it was really hard for me.
One thing the It's Not Mental book made me wonder in my own case is the WHY. Why the inflammation? What kind of stressors do I have and how do I address all the different pieces. How is my sleep? What about toxins? What is my diet like? I really had a lot of inflammation. My intestines were not great. My skin was not great. My energy level wasn't great. I wondered about my endocrine system. The book is an easy read.
