You often get a "spike" of anxiety with any SSRI when you first start (because seretonin levels increase, causing a spike in anxiety, then they down regulate, reducing it according to ont theory)

Taking an anti anxiety drug (a benzo or Atarax) for the first 2-3 weeks can be a big help
