Or a good CBT therapist?I try to accept my condition in the moment so that I can squeeze as much out of life as possible. However, I consider my condition to be unacceptable. I try to tell myself that my letting go of my illness and accepting it in the moment will not impact my resolve to search for a cure. I find that to always view the moment within the context of how my illness affects it is actually a form of multitasking that steals energy, concentration, mood, and functionality. I still do it, though - just not as often.
