I have seen African Americans numerous times in the waiting room in USA. My experience with Asian's and mental illness is just as prevalent there if not more so but they less motivated to get help to save "face" or pride. When they do get help often they visit a "Neurologist" (because it doesn't sound as bad?) Asian societies don't have the kind of stress of west. If someone has social anxiety they are labeled as "shy" not "psycho." Many Asians develop anxiety, depression after relocating to USA dealing with different respect values with a culture there that is hyper-masculine, homophobic, aggressive and disrespectful to elderly.
