Some Diagnoses don't translate precisely from the APA DSM to our german one. I think residual for us means mostly negative symptoms, too. If I had been diagnosed with Schizophrenia it would be easy, but they say I'm Schizo-Affective And only the "Schizo" part of that is greatly diminished. Maybe I am overthinking it. Diagnoses are not perfect, both the application and the DSM itsself.
I just want people to reckon that I am accountable. Thats all. I am not saying everyone with regular Schizophrenia diagnosis is not accountable, just saying it sounds like it, especially for the less educated. And I haven't had positive symptoms in 8 years.
