Sorry hadn't seen my previous thread mentioned.
I personally think Metformin and the Glp-1 (glucose like protein) meds are beneficial overall. Really have to do your own research though. There are a lot is studies on both and both have cardio and neuroprotective abilities. Weight gain on the other hand is a health risk....
Metformin helped keep my most recent trial of Nardil (2yr) essentially weight neutral. I gained ~10bs over those 2yrs but that was likely just poor diet and getting older. It didn't help me lose weight though (it can be great for some on that regard).
Both Metformin and GLP-1 meds may end up having benefits of their own for anxiety/depression. Both are being looked at...Best of luck.
