I find it mood elevating, more so on moclobemide. It clears my head and lifts my spirits. It also relaxes me. It's a very nice combination of effects.
> About saving money, you could just purchase pure l-theanine very inexpensively from online chemical suppliers in bulk (usually lots of 50, 100, 500, or 1,000grams). Then you simply encapsulate that in the large gelcaps (00-size). I'll dig up a good source and then post it.
Thanks! I emailed the place I mentioned, Beyond-A-Century, and they told me the product they sell is in fact Suntheanine. So long as that's the case, 20 grams of powder for $18.50 is a good price. Works out to 9 cents per 100mg vs. almost twice that for BioSynergy's product. I always put the capsule in green tea anyway, so it's actually better for me to buy the powder. I can use the scale I have that I used to use for "other things" to measure it out :) It's hard to believe the same stuff is half price, but we'll see...
Jon :)
