I took Carlson's liquid for a long time--it packs a bigger EPA punch and no fishy burps. But then I travelled overseas this summer, and it would have been very hard to tote open fish oil bottles around, especially in hot climates. So I bought a gelcap version. I do have to take a whole lot of capsules to get the amount of EPA I need, but I got used to the capsules and find them easier to deal with than the liquid now. I'm not happy about taking gelatin pills, because of the animal source of the gelatin, but I am overlooking that negative for now.
I use a brand that claims to be free of metals and toxins, etc.
