I used SAMe for a while, and noticed a direct correlation with
increased anger and irritability, notably increased agression
towards other people.

From what I have read, SAME is a mainly a dopaminergic med,
like Wellbutrin, this may increase anger, and irritability in some.
You may respond better to an SSRI like I did.

Thank you so much. I wanted to know if anyone else went
through it, or was I imagining. But it was too scary to be
coincidence, I rarely feel that angry or mean!
Can I ask you, what did you change to for an SSRI? I am trying
to stay with herbals or aminos because of weight gain.
Thanks!

For a while I took a small dose of celexa, 10 mg, and then I
augmented it with, folic acid 1mg and plenty of omega 3. This
combination worked very well.

I had moderate sucess with st. johns wort.

Sometimes, a combination of the pharmacudicals and
nutritional/herbal approach will yeild the best results. Too many
people take medication while neglecting their diet. On the same
hand, medication certainly dose have efficacy, although it's good
to know your meds so you don't get tossed around.

Best of luck
