Hi Chuckie I saw your post on substance abuse but have never detoxed off a opiate or in the hospital/center so I didn't reply. You may want to call and ASK what they do. Most GOOD places will monitor you for hypertensive crisis and add Neurontin to help withdrawal AND also avoid seizure...I have heard it is like a bad flu but not as bad as you may think..if does correctly. I do not know where you are going but I almost went myself to Betty Ford..yes the poorish can get in.<G>..to get off some legal meds and that IS great place to go as are some of the places like Calvary Center. I cannot help you in any way other than to point out that you need to get info on the center you plan to detox in...look it up on google, CALL THEM AND ASK... and so on and BEST of luck...keep us posted..I bet its a nice place more dorm like no pink padded walls :-)
