I typed up this whole thread earlier and it seems to have dissapeared, so forgive me if it ends up showing twice.
I've been searching for supplements to help get rid of migraines. What I have tried for the last few months is fish oil (2-4 grams a day) and Magnesium Taurate. I haven't been as regular with the magnesium as I probably should, but everytime I start getting the does up (around 500mg a day) I get diarrhea, so I stop taking it for a few days. This combo has not decreased my migraines.
My doctor suggested adding a B vitamin supplement. I bought one this weekend (Trader Joe's brand), but then I read that someone on here had help with migraines from just Niacin. Will I still get niacin effects from a multi-B-supplement?
What other suggestions do people have? Has anyone out there had luck with supplements, combinations of supplements? I read something about CoQ10? Seems expensive, is it worth it?
