Lasts longer, too. I just stir a heaping teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of water, and down the hatch. A tad bitter, but it grows on you. Watch the turmeric, though. It will permanently stain cotton, or your fingers, or some countertops, etc.

Thanks for that recommendation. My aunt has gout, and had to stop using Vioxx when it was pulled from the market. After researching Celebrex, which her doctor was going to prescribe for her to replace the Vioxx, she dediced against using it because of side effects, etc. I had given her a few natural suggestions, mostly diet related. Then I got that e-mail from Dr. Bruce. I am going to forward the e-mail to her, and, after what you said above, suggest she give the turmeric a try.
