Do you mean similar by numbers or the mechanism it works? I hope you meant numbers, I've been taking fish oil for quite a while, maybe 5 years on and off, on probably 70% of that time. My triglycerides were 470+ a few months ago, they were normal a year before that. Haven't heard anything back about this last test.
I've been taking plant sterols/stenols, niacin, extra fiber, more soy etc and just added policosanol. Oh, and trying to eat less crap too. Hopefully together it will make a difference, I don't want to take statin drugs but if this doesn't work I guess I might have to.
