Having read great things about the benefits of fish oil, I finally got around to buying some on the internet. It's purportedly from Scandinavia and claims to be free of harmful metals and the like. So I excitedly opened the bottle and popped one of the 1000 mg capsules into my mouth. Jeez, where is Heimlich when you need him. I almost choked to death on that horse pill! What a bummer. I have been forced to slice them open and down the oil as a liquid. It isn't very good tasting which is why they put it in capsules in the first place, it invariably gets on you hands which will then smell like fish all day. I have half a mind to slip it to the dog (it has similar benefits for them too) until I can order smaller capsules that I can take two of. So unless you can swallow huge pills, be careful ordering giant capsules of fish oil.
