Now that is serious. It's hard to avoid it nowdays as they seem to add it to everything. I know the prepackaged stuff and the labeling tricks. Free glutamate is labeled routinely as:
From: http://www.naturodoc.com/library/nutrition/MSG.htm
Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein
Hydrolyzed Protein
Hydrolyzed Plant Protein
Plant Protein Extract
Sodium Caseinate
Calcium Caseinate
Yeast Extract
Textured Protein
Autolyzed Yeast
Hydrolyzed Oat Flour
I believe a lot of the chain restaurants add tons of MSG (Golden Corral, KFC) because my wife gets migraines after we eat there. At GC you can pretty much taste it in the stuffing and other things. You ever wonder if your condition may have even been caused by physical brain damage due to excitotoxin overexposure (as many of the anti-MSG sites will tell you)?
