> My anxiety is very very bad today, I never seem to get any relief, my mind seems to be totaly focused inwards and this drives me nuts. My anxiety so bad that I spend most of my time in my bedroom. Ive had anxiety for 19 years, which was mainly panic attacks, but recently thats all changed, I dont get panic attacks I just get constant gnawing anxiety thats non stop. Recntly Ive being doing some breathing execises and its made my anxiety worse, how can this be so, ANY advise or sharing of experinces would be greatly appreciated at this rather low moment.

> KiwiredbeachKiwi,
You have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). I have it and it's been about to drive me over the edge. I just keep trying to tell myself that "what we think is how we feel" to get me anxiety under some control. I am on 50mg. of Paxil CR daily now. I'm still hoping and waiting for some significant relief. I'm also trying to learn CBT. The thing is, I'm not 100% sure it'll help as I don't have to have anything specific to make me get anxed-out! Of course, CBT is partly about training the mind to view matters in a different light. If you want to try CBT, you do a free online course. It is found here: http://moodgym.anu.edu.au/default.asp
Wishing you the best!
