I looked into it a little bit a while back, but I don't remember reading anything about cancer, just hypertension. (I might not have been as thorough as you, though.) There was a somewhat recent discussion (earlier this year) about PEA. I'm not sure the risks were discussed much, but you may want to take a look at it anyway. A poster named uncouth had good luck with it, albeit on rather large doses. I believe it has a short half life.

What does DLPA do for you? The first couple of times I tried it (conservative doses) not much seemed to happen, and then I took some on a particularly bad PMS day and my mood plummeted even more, perhaps because the extra dopamine ended up depleting my already low serotonin levels. Haven't touched it since then, though I've wondered about DPA or PEA (as a way to boost endorphins without the messing with dopamine/serotonin as much).

Have you looked at mucuna pruriens at all or are you mainly looking at increasing endorphins rather than dopamine?
