how long have you been doing the higher protein/less sugar diet? i found that when i went on the adkins diet (just about all protein and no sugar or carbs) i was very slow and depressed for about two weeks, until my body adjusted to the new diet and i felt more energetic then. any change in diet will alter the way you feel for a while. i don't suggest an all protien diet like adkins b/c the brain does need sugar and the body produces toxins if all it has to burn is protein (Cell Bio 101). but an all sugar diet can't be healthy either. i would suggest sticking to the nutritionist's suggestions for at least a month before deciding what to do. good luck!
