Some logical advice? Did you feel better about yourself when on the medication? What are the choices? Weigh them carefully. Will weight gain harm your relationships? Will your depression? A mother's love is more important than a mother's weight.
I gained 30 lbs on medications too and when I went to EMPower http://truehope.com, it stayed on. I feel terribly over weight still, but I feel better about myself when I'm not in the depression. When you're not in the depression you can deal with anything. When depressed all pillows look like mountains. Even if we were skinny we would find something else to think we were depressed about. We tend to blame our depression on things outside of ourself.
When I'm not depressed I can join a fitness club and believe that each day I exercise I become better. Heck, I can even do that when I am depressed.
My Christian advice is found in my other entries :)
