This is a very reasonable request. You need to try to show them that you are looking for this information so that you can be informed - so that you can identify what some of your problem behaviors are so that you can work on them. I think that you might have to appear overly in control for this conversation to happen. That you will need to demonstrate to them that you can hear difficult things and be able to have a productive reaction.
If they continue to refuse to talk about it, then ask them what you would need to do in order for them to be more comfortable talking about it. Ask them what their particular concerns are and see if together you can figure out a way to control those things. It may take a little work on having you be more able to be in control of yourself, and that may take a little time. But they do have an obligation to explain your diagnosis, and why they feel that it fits you.
