I dunno, but from birth we make powerful connections with others, and we need those connections, no matter how painful it is to lose them.So when people feel grief (or when I have), I feel how pointless it is to offer reassurance, and instead want to say 'what you feel is painful, but it is human, valuable, and reflects well on you. It will pass when it is ready to'.
