Desoxyn is pharmaceutical grade methampethamine, and yes, it is a potential ADHD medication but many pdocs appear to be reluctant to prescribe it as the demand for illicit meth is greater than it is for Ritalin (or at least that is the perspective of the enforcement community keeping an eye on Schedule II prescriptions). Indeed, the reasons why it may be better than the other amphetamines for ADHD may be exactly why it is perferred on the street: greater psychoactivity relative to peripheral stimulation.
You never know what other compounds will crop up as impurities in the street drug though. Invariably, these "hangers on" will be very, very bad.
