Congratulations!!!! This is so inspiring. We seem to think that we can't do it without someone else telling us how, but I totally agree with you, that we do have the strength.

There has to be some other stronger purpose, however, to turn an addiction around. What was/is yours? What became more important to you than getting high or tolerating the pain of withdrawal? Also, how much Vic were you doing?

I like the idea of Vitamin C. It's such a great antioxidant for so many things. How much are you taking? I'd imagine that taking a liver support supplement would help too. Our poor livers take such a beating from all the foreign substances they have to filter out.

Well, I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that your increasing clarity will bring you peace and a lightness of spirit and that you'll maintain your resolve in this. And don't forget that if ever the time comes that you do slip up, you know you have the strength and very strong willpower and self love to pick yourself right back up and continue your journey upon that majestic path. Blessings to you. - BarbaraCat

> Alright so I guess no one wanted to reply to my post. That's ok. maybe somewhere someone is reading it anyway and hopefully feeling a little more hopeful knowing that recovery is possible. Today is Sunday and I haven't had a pill in...3 days. When I did my sudden cut down, I don't know that it helped that much so instead of saying 3 days no pills, it feels more appropriate to say I HAVE GOTTEN PAST THE WITHDRAWL! My withdrawl started last wednesday and my aches and pains are gone (god it was hell) and I actually slept really well last night! Well, physically anyway. I would love to pop a couple vicodin right now. I just got out of the bubble bath and am laying on the couch watching tv and messing around on the computer. It's one of my favorite times to take them. But instead, I am writing. Anyway, those of you who are withdrawing or contemplating quitting, DO IT! I swear to god that if I can do it, anyone can. Thanks for reading...
