My sympathy to all who have experienced Tylenol overdose or had such an experience with a loved one.
I am also very concerned about accidental Tylenol overdose - it happened to me, enough to cause moderate to severe liver pain, with the meds noted below. The enzyme which detoxifies Tylenol has a ceiling which is different depending on what shape your liver is in and what other meds you are taking -- exceed that ceiling, and the liver damage begins at once.
Few people know or are warned that an active alcoholic or heavy drinker should take _no more_ than 2 g. Tylenol -- two doses of 2 XS -- in 24 hr. There are many drugs that interact with Tylenol and lower the danger threshhold. I have had personal experience with Serzone, Trazadone and DM (aka DXM, in your friendly OTC cough-mixture).
