I used to do XTC 3 years ago. I quit because I grew up and decided it wasn't worth it anymore. The day after was too painful. I would sit around (the day after) and was totaly worthless. I also did cocaine.
This was on a weekend basis for 2 years. But, it wasn't EVERY weekend. However, I did take about 1-3 rolls in one night on these occacions. I would do an eight ball or more on other occasions. Sometimes it was a mixture of both drugs. It had no effect on my personal life. In fact, I did better then than I can do now.
I have been doing research online and was terrified as to what I did to my brain.
As an adolescent I was diagnosed with depression (before doing the drugs) and ADD. But, after I quit I had really bad anxiety and depression. I thought at first that it was due to my personal life, but now it seems it could be from the drug use.
I also have problems sleeping. This is also a new problem since the drug abuse stopped. I read that XTC use can mess up the part of your brain that regulates sleep patterns.
I have tried the follwing medications: Zoloft (gave me the runs); Paxil (runs, too); Wellbutrin (on it now and like it); Klonopin (on it now and like it); Effexor (just started a 150mg dose) and don't know if I like it yet. As an adolescent (before the drug use) I tried Pamelor and Zoloft.
I am really worried and wonder if anyone has insight that they could share with me. Can certain medications assist me better than others? Thank you for your help.
