Do you have any idea of how it feels to be a member of a group of four or five people who are being compared to that experiment?
Do you have any idea what it feels like to wake up every morning and read Admin?
I may be an arrogant prig, but I had the insane idea that I was doing good here. I even used to tell my therapist that I felt like this was my calling to do good in this world.
What an idiot I was.
I haven't told him that in a very long time. I've told him that I seem to be spending an awful lot of my time causing an awful lot of harm, and that it's one more area in my life where everything I do is wrong. There are so d*mn many of those.

I recognize those things as things I've said to you at one time or another.
I am not a liar. If I said them it's because I meant them.
And I don't know who you might think my friends are, but if you take a poll of the people I feel closest to, I think many of them will tell you they've been PBC'd by me at some point.
And perhaps most importantly, it's hard to give a PBC to a friend, but it's even harder to give one to someone you might have other feelings about. I personally pass on posts where I think it's at all possible that I might have a conflict of interest. The other deputies, I'm sure, will attest to that as will Dr. Bob.
For whatever this is worth, which likely is abolutely nothing whatsoever.

Given that the result of drinking the poisoned Kool Aid was that the victims of the Guyana tragedy were DEAD, I hardly think that having another glass would be doable. And I'm frankly shaken and profoundly OUTRAGED at the offer for ANYONE to do what the Guyana victims were coerced to do.

> hWhat exactly are you trying to say, Hen? One could reasonably assume that you're referring to some participant on this thread as the "carroteer". I guess I'm not quite getting your metaphor, so could you just speak plainly, please? Is someone supposed to be doing something to Happyflower or someone else in an attempt to cause her to behave in some predetermined way? I suppose if that's what you're saying, then I have to have a private, hearty chuckle. If not, it'll be a public "humminah?" Though either way, given my understanding of the carrot and stick metaphor, I suspect it's possible that if labeled as a "carroteer", despite my hearty laughter, I could feel accused of perhaps being manipulative or something similar.
Gosh, Henny Penny, whatever could you be trying to convey?

Didn't get them comfused, I got an A Plus, 100% in general psych.
BOth experiments have to do with preception of authority, upon the ones with authority and the ones receiving punishment from authority.
Authority is a very powerful influence.

In fact I have done so well in my psych classes that I have been asked by a professor to be her teachers assistant, where I can help teach Psych 101.
Plus the chairman of the Psyc Dept., has asked me to help do research for a couple of their Phd. professiors, because of my understanding of psych. So, no I didnt' get them mixed up, in fact I have done quite well in the subject.

In fact, I was told I had the highest grade point average of my class, and am in the lead for valedictorian. In fact I have been asked to do an internship next summer, with a famous psych expert, because he has heard about me. So, no I didn't confuse them.
