Thanks :) for the reply. I am into my 6th week starting tomorrow of being on medical leave due to anxiety attacks and I have to go back to work on Monday. I have Ativan but don't like it. I have taken 20mg of Celexa for 5 weeks and practice relaxation and breathing. I have counseling starting on Saturday. Just looking for another option here. Check out what I read about anxiety and panic.

"For short-term anxiety, the use of tranquilizers is best. If problems go on for a long time, or if there are frequent or disturbing panic attacks, longer-acting medicines may be preferred. Usually a few weeks or months of treatment are enough, but some people need to use medication for years. In full-blown disabling panic disorder, 70% of patients need to take medication indefinitely. Counseling and behavior techniques can also help the patient control and limit panic attacks. "

70% on medication indefinitely!!
