I have used Rescue Remedy, and I also use it for my dog who has seizures. My understanding is that it is effective in urgent situations, but becomes less effective with longer term or regular use. You can always do the RR, and also look into other herbal alternatives.
Did you have to wait all that 6 weeks to see a counselor? Did your anxiety attacks continue at home?

> Thanks :) for the reply. I am into my 6th week starting tomorrow of being on medical leave due to anxiety attacks and I have to go back to work on Monday. I have Ativan but don't like it. I have taken 20mg of Celexa for 5 weeks and practice relaxation and breathing. I have counseling starting on Saturday. Just looking for another option here. Check out what I read about anxiety and panic.

Usually a few weeks or months of treatment are enough, but some people need to use medication for years. In full-blown disabling panic disorder, 70% of patients need to take medication indefinitely. Counseling and behavior techniques can also help the patient control and limit panic attacks. "
