Moclobemide

Posted by adamie on October 22, 2001, at 23:11:48

hi. I am planning to try and get this reversible MAOI prescribed to me by my new pdoc who I will be seeing soon. I have had an extremely bad experience with AD's. I have tried paxil, prozac, wellbutrin, effexor, celexa, and briefly adrafinil. All of them made my depression worse. effexor made me suicidal and same with celexa. I felt like escaping from the mental hospital since they were forcing AD's on me. I have also tried zyprexa and very briefly risperdal. With Zyprexa there is no worsening effect for me like the AD's.

So I really want to try moclobemide since it is supposed to work very differently than the usual AD's. So I hope at least like zyprexa it shouldn't make me Worse. Can this be a very reliable anti depressant? What are some of your experiences with this medication? Is it safe to take along with zyprexa? Please reply.
