Does the use of psychostimulants counteract any of the above?Not at all too personal - i take depakote for bp. the stims counteract the sedation, the energy loss, and the cognitive disfunction, and do i mean cognitive Disfunction, from the dep. no change in weight yet (i gained weight from prozac).
unfortunately, the stims have their own effects for me - jumpiness, irritability. but concerta does do a pretty good job, if i spead it into two doses t/o the day.
re: sexual disfunction - i am a woman, and am convinced men and women are affected differently by these meds. i have not noticed an increase in desire or ability to orgasm on the stims, but i believe that they do help men. not sure though. dep. is Not good for my sex life, though. But, to be fair, is it the physical arousment part or some emtional issues i'm going through - i don't know yet.
