Robin, I read and was told that the average adult effective dose per day of Effexor XR is 150 mg.
I started at 37.5 for 2 weeks, then 75 for several weeks, then 112.5 which is what it took for me.
I think (my own non-dr. opinion) that 37.5 is a VERY LOW dose for moderate/severe depression.
Get with your dr asap!
But, hang in there! This is a great group. I'm feeling so so much better with Effexor! It has really straightened out my outlook--everything seems in better balance now. I don't spend time anymore agonizing over things over and over.
