Strattera was good for me at first, but stopped working so I've quit it. I was on it for about 6 months. The key thing (and my pdoc agrees, based on experience with other patients) is that you need to increase the dosage slowly to minimize side effects -- maybe by 20-25 mg every couple of weeks or so.
Dry mouth was the longest-lasting side effect (it only kicked in when I was at 80 mg/day), but resolved after about 2-3 months. Then other weird things started happening (like increased blood pressure etc., apparently not too common) and it lost its effectiveness anyway, so I quit it with no problems.
It does seem to have promise for some people, though -- I think the biggest problems come from rapid increases in dosage without enough time for your system to adjust.
