The side effects I experienced at 80 mg were gone withing two months. Sedation in the afternoon was the biggest problem. Before three months, though, the positive effects were waning.
After increasing to 100 mg, I came within a weekend of stopping Strattera because the sedation side-effect would not go away and the drug began wearing off at 4:30 pm. Out of nowhere, the sedation ended and the drug lasted through the evening. It took five months. (That's five months from beginning the 100 mg dose, not five months from starting Strattera.)
