If I take it on a full stomach it can take as much as two hours to work. I understand that they have fairly recently found that it works as a mood stablizer as well.

Actually, Seroquel's use as a sleep aid is a result of using a 'side effect' for a desired advantage... Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic that's PRIMARY purpose is for mood stabilization and treatment of schizophrenia. (In much larger doses...)Tony
