> > hi there, chemist here...5 mg of zyprexa is in the noise level, you are experiencing positive effects with gabatril, and the only thing that worries me is that your doctor abruptly discontinued xanax, which should be tapered very slowly. that said, the gabatril seems to be working, as does the gabapentin....you have avoided benzos - which is great - and seem to know what the efficacy of the meds you are taking is relative to your condition. i think you are spot-on, and all the best wishes, chemist

> I appreciate your support...you said that 5 mg of Zyprexa is in the noise level, what does that mean? I've read that Lamictal decreases Glutamate, but I'm not sure of the mechanism of action. I would guess that in doing so, GABA would somehow become enhanced...but again I'm not sure that's the case. I feel that GABA is a major player as far as my GAD and social anxiety goes...so I'm figuring the more meds I'm on that have an effect on GABA, the better off I am.

hi there...i meant that your low dose of zyprexa is very unlikely to provide therapeutic efficacy in the 5 mg qd range, and as you correctly state, that anything that promtes incread GABA flooding appears to be what you need....all the best, chemist
