> Hi, I am beginning a trial of parnate. For right now I have decided to keep the dose very low, at 2.5mg twice per day, because of the insomnia. My question is, what if any changes would be needed in my diet for the time being?

2.5 mg? I thought they only came in 10 mg. This is my philosophy towards food restrictions and MAOIs (and I have been on over 100 mg of Parnate). Don't live in fear. Try some of the food in small amounts and see how you react. I found out that I can drink red wine, eat as much cheese and foods as I want without a reaction. The only thing that gave me a reaction was soy sauce.

I don't think you are going to feel any benefit from the med at that dose. And there are meds you can take for the insomnia. Besides everyone is different. Parnate actually makes me tired and I have to take Adderall to make it through the day.

Just my 2 cents.

Maxime
