I got tardive dyskinesia from atypical antipsychotics. They say that the older antipsychotics do this more often though and the atypicals are "safer" but I personally know two people who have TD from atypicals and one of those people has a friend who developed permanent dystonia in her neck from respridal (she was also only on it for a breif amount of time).
Im not saying that these drugs shouldnt be used, but I think they shouldnt be as used as much as they are and doctors should atleast warn their patients about the risks. They can be life saving medications but they can also ruin lives. Just my opinion anyway.
Take care :)> > > Hello,

Effexor was the most effective a couple of summers ago, but I thought I could still feel better if I tried something else.
