Hi daisy, so if i'm hearing you correctly, the Wellbutrin IS working for the depression? If so, don't give up on it, even though it can cause anxiety in some people. In some people it doesn't, it just takes care of the depression. Taking it with Xanax is fine, but call your doc and ask for and Rx for Ambien for sleep. You shouldn't have to suffer a couple of weeks, that's unhealthy.
I take Ambien every night and LOVE it! My p-doc knows that I take it every night, and he's fine with that. He said i'll probably build up a tolerance, but that i can take it every night. i agree with you, you have to sleep. it does bad things to you when you don't sleep, so insist on getting the help you need. From what i've read on the boards Lunesta isn't helpful, so you might ask specifically for Ambien. I have a 10 mg Rx, but break them in 1/2 and only take 5 mg a night. I wake up not groggy, and ready to start my day.
Good luck, let me know what happens!
