Provigil and auto-immune fatigue

Question:
2 family doctors have recently suggested I try Provigil to counteract my fatigue. However, my fatigue is caused from serious auto-immune illnesses that I have. Does it seem right to try treating fatigue with Provigil when it is known that the fatigue is from auto-immune illnesses? Both doctors gave me samples but I have been reluctant to try them, as I am already on so many medications. Your thoughts??
