I think I'm right about the MAOI-B's. Since they have no involvement in serotonin, which seems to be the main culprit in me for weight gain, it shouuuuld be neutral, but who knows...
It's understandable that the doctors don't know why it happens or how to predict who will or won't gain. It's another thing entirely to ignore that it happens and make the patient feel like a circus freak because the literature says the SSRI's cause weight loss!
Hahaha, birth control... oh yeah there's another fun one. I'm actually lucky enough not to be in the group who gains, but it's clear that some do. It's obvious why... you're playing with female hormones! Low dose or not, one of their main purposes is to promote fat accumulation (it's tricking the body into thinking it's pregnant, what should we expect?)
