I do take a small dose of quetiapine(Seroquel)-25mg to counteract the insomnia induced by Nardil. At this low dosage quetiapine has an antagonistic effect on the histamine H1 receptor, which accounts for its beneficial effect on insomnia. At higher dosages this med can affect the dopamine and serotonin receptors.

Thankyou, Jedi. I did have a manic episode about 18 months ago on Nardil, at which time I was placed on Zyprexa for the last 18 months, it doesn't seem to really do that much.Was interested in what agents you think might augment Nardil? The SSRI's did nothing, and Noradrenaline and Stimulant based meds cause agitation. Currently Im trying 2.5mg Zyprexa, and 300mgs lithium for augmentation. Would Nortryptiline or Mirapex(perhaps both) be good agents to try Nardil?
