More than about 600mg in a sitting and you're just peeing out gabapentin (which is a relief because you can't really overdose). It's usually taken up to 600mg 4 times a day (which I do). Trivia, the generic Greenstone is actually I believe still made by the originator. 1500mg at a sitting is a bit of a header on the kidneys, that sounds like a rather odd concoction. But you're seeing a neurologist. Maybe he has some just journal article I haven't seen, it sounds strange still.
