Question about Lamictal

I have never tried a mood stabilizer, but i've read way too many posts saying that Lamictal causes anger and i see that it's one of the most popular meds of this kind.
So, i wonder how it's possible for a mood stabilizer to cause anger and yet, to be considered as a good one. It sounds like an oxymoron to me.
