I was on Lamictal for about 5 1/2 years. I took 700 mg in conjunction with 900 mg of Lithium. The Lamictal didn't make me angry at the time. I have noticed however, that since switching medicines that I now have anger issues. I don't know if this is a result of the medicine or if it is just personal situations I am dealing with. Jay is right in that every medicine affects everyone individually. Your doctor can help determine what is the best course of action for you with regards to your medication. The best thing to do with meds (that I have found) is to be very open with your doctor. If you notice one day that you are extremely angry, or moody, or very irritable, don't brush it off. Write it down or make a mental note to tell your doctor. All in all, to answer your original question, Lamictal worked wonders for me when I took it in CONJUNCTION with the Lithium for those 5 1/2 years. I hope that helps.
