I've had a crown while using an maoi, and while I can't use epinephrine, my dentist had no problem with it.
How much bleeding does your dentist expect? I'm not sure why a crown would cause such a degree of bleeding. I don't think my dentist felt he needed anything other than anesthetic (he used a non-epinephine version of the anesthetic).
Did your dentist say it was essential?
